A garden for children.
​We offer young children a small, personal kindergarten in a beautiful, natural environment surrounded by a huge outdoor ‘classroom’ with endless opportunities to learn from nature and the natural world.
​Our objectives are to nurture happy and confident children by dedicating time to truly understand each child and carefully listening to them to foster self-esteem. We aim to instill a love of learning by encouraging natural curiosity, inspiring a lifelong passion for discovery and knowledge
How?
We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education. We believe all children learn best through play, and that the learning process is far more important than any product a child might produce.

Through a thematic approach, we expand children’s worldviews by providing catalysts for curiosity that broaden their perspectives and understanding. We emphasize a connection with nature as a rich learning resource, encouraging appreciation and exploration of the natural world. We go for daily walks and explorations around Misty Meadows Farm.

​Practical activities such as gardening, woodwork, handcrafts, music, and cooking offer hands-on experiences that enhance practical skills. We foster creativity and imagination through storytelling, drawing, painting, and role play, sparking imaginative thinking. By promoting collaborative play, we nurture a spirit of teamwork and shared learning. We build self-confidence and initiative by empowering children to find answers, conduct their own research, and solve problems independently. Finally, we support the development of body awareness and coordination through gross-motor activities like yoga, ball skills, walks, climbing and movement exercises, and fine-motor activities like drawing, cutting and play dough.
